Hey Mavis! is the celebrated eclectic folk music quartet from northeast Ohio that has gained a following all over the US and online. They'll join the Philharmonic as special guests in a concert featuring Silver Ribbon Dreams, their album of songs about the history and legacy of the Ohio and Erie Canal, with orchestrations by Eric Benjamin. We'll also play some other folk-inspired works for orchestra, including Slavonic Dances by Dvorak and a stirring setting of "Shenandoah" by American composer Fred Morden.
